14 days left until the NYC Halfsie!

3.4 mile runs on Tuesday and Thursday last week (2 lower loops in the park). Man on Saturdays I do my long run and I missed the 8:30am 4M race in the park due to some Friday night hanging out. Thanks Rick! I would avoid crazy nights before a long run the next day. The next day I was so slow. I normally do my runs at the crack of dawn. Before I knew it the clock read 4:15pm. 4:15!!! I dragged my butt out of the apartment to the park. It was hot. It was the first time I used the iPod portion of my iPhone and it is very cool. I was on about mile 5 when Allen called. The music literally "fades" out, and the call "rings" in. I answer the call. I must have ran another 1 miles with Allen on speaker phone. Thanks Allen! You are now my official honorary running partner! After we hungup, the music "fades" back in. Totally off the hook!

So how far did I run? Who knows but I'll do the calculations shortly. I know I was suppose to do 8-10 miles though. Here it goes:

1.0000 miles = Columbus Circle counter-clockwise to East 72nd St.
0.9936 mile = E72nd Street north to E90th Street
3.32 mile = E90th Street hopped on bridle path loop around reservoir (counter-clockwise twice)
2.00 miles = E90th/5th south to 59th/Lexington for some water and OJ
------------
8 miles (ok so I am rounding up and hopefully there are some under estimates here! I think I finished around 6pm, so my slow 12 minute mile for 1hr 45min is like 8-10 miles right? Gotta figure out how to calibrate the Nike iPod.)

The good news is that I feel sore but still healthy. No major pains. Next Saturday will be 9-11miles. Then you know what happens the following Sunday? The Half! Only 14 days left until the Halfsie!
