6/22 till 6/25 I am in Vegas baby! Nydia was nice enough to invite me last minute to her work thing in Vegas one of her coworkers could not make the trip. Thanks Carlos! :) And work was kind enough to take a few days off with a few weeks notice. Pics of lots of fun in the sun below and my newfound Korean friends from Korea! Rest is good. The highlights of the trip were the ridiculous BJ hands and of course the Grand Canyon. Back to BJ for all you madly addictive degenerate gamblers out there. You know who you are. ;) Ok, so a three-card split on an Ace with two BJs and 20! The dealer busted with 6 up. Then the next day a three-card split on a 7! The first hand the dude gave me a 4, so now I had 11. Double-down. The second hand I got something high. Then the third hand (this is the kicker) the dude gave me another 4, so I doubled down again and I hit a 10! two 21s and an 18 - dealer busted. I ended the last day with a pair of 7s, split, and hellzyah won! :D Did I say I did that. No Dad, I meant my friend...
My date with Vegas!
Grand Canyon with my new Korean friends!
So what does this have to do with running? This post is not totally not running-related. Double negative, confusing huh? So here it goes...I see why people retire in warm climates. My heel felt much better in the 115 degree weather. Very theraputic. I also feel really good about the training I've been doing - all that not including the running. Part of this training is not just running, but nutrition and hydration as well as cross-training activities. I felt that I endured the heat pretty well while I noticed others having a hard time bearing the heat. They were tired and cranky lifting a finger. I was happy and relaxed. :) Must be all the freakin water I drink. My p*ss is clearer than Evian water from the French Alps.
